OVP Models of the ARM Cortex-A53 and Cortex-A57

ARM previously announced their ARMv8 architecture, which extended the ARM architecture to 64 bit processors. Imperas now has very high performance models of those cores, the Cortex-A53 and Cortex-A57, available for our OVP users. These are fully instruction accurate models of these cores. We are currently looking for beta users for these models. Please note that the use of these models requires an additional license key, which can be requested from info@ovpworld.org. Also, please note that the advanced features of TrustZone and hardware virtualization instructions require the use of Imperas commercial products.

Extendable Platform Kits (EPKs)

OVP has always had platforms available for download, in addition to the processor and peripheral models. These platforms are meant to be building blocks for OVPsim users, providing the base for our users to extend the functionality of the platform by adding more models, or running different operating systems on the platforms. These EPKs include platforms of the ARM IntegratorCP and Versatile Express development boards, and of the MIPS Malta development board. We have recently added additional EPKs for the Altera Cyclone III device (Nios II processor running Linux) and Cyclone V device (ARM Cortex-A9MPx2 running Linux), and for the Freescale Kinetis K60 device (ARM Cortex-M4 running MQX RTOS) and Vybrid VF5 device (ARM Cortex-A5 running MQX RTOS). Please see the OVP Downloads page, or the OVP Library pages, for more information.

Design Automation Conference, June 2-6, San Francisco

Imperas will be exhibiting at the Design Automation Conference, June 2-6 in San Francisco. We will be in the ARM Connected Community Pavilion in the Exhibit Hall. We hope to see you there.

At DAC, Simon Davidmann is on a panel on Tuesday morning, titled "Open Source Embedded Software: Savior or Slayer?", and is presenting a paper titled "Simulation Based Analysis and Debug of Heterogeneous Platforms" in the session on Heterogeneous Computing Platforms on Wednesday afternoon.

The Current OVPsim Release is 20140430.0 (April 2014)

Please check the release notes for more details.
