In May 2011 Cadence announced their move into solutions in the virtual platform space. This includes the Virtual System Platform product that enables the development and debug of both the hardware models of a virtual platform and the software running on the platform.

The Cadence Virtual System Platform includes Imperas OVP Fast Processor Models and Imperas M*VAP tools integrated to enable the fastest execution of software running on a virtual platform while providing advanced software development tools for verification, analysis and profiling.
