This standard download includes the standalone demos.
When downloaded, double-click on the application OVPsim.Windows.exe to install OVPsim, its environment, and the demos on your Windows XP PC.
When downloaded & installed, go to the directory <OVP installed_dir>->Demo->OVPsim_single_mips32 and double-click on the dhrystone.bat file to run an OVP simulation of a MIPS32 processor running a cross compiled binary of the Dhrystone benchmark. To see maximum speed on your PC double-click on the peakspeed1.bat file to run the peakspeed1 testcase. You will see the performance of the run at the end of the log, for example:

Double click on some other examples of MIPS benchmarks or go up a directory and to one of the multicore or manycore directories and click on those .bat files to see them run.
