In an architeture with shared memory, is it possible to set the memory(Local or shared) where the application will run? javascript:emoticon(':?')

This is all defined by the compiler tools which are used to create the executables for the target system (which is modeled by OVP)
This can usually be controlled by the use of a linker script.

So the answer to your question is yes, but this is part of compiling and linking your application, and not controlled by the virtual platform.
