Hi, everyone! i have some *.ELF's files from MIPS 4k platform. I want try start it on home pc, but my skill is very low:( May i ask somebody help me to understand how config my OVP? I can give links on elf files, if it help.

Download the package OVPsim_demo_mips32. Once installed this will give you a baremetal (without operating system) that will allow you to execute MIPS elf code for 4K devices.

Read the documentation to see how you can configure the processor model for different variants, for example 4Kc, 4Kp etc

You may also find it useful to make use of instruction tracing and/or debugging with GDB debugger to see what the application is doing.

Please note that if the application has additional hardware requirements, for example it is expecting to use a UART for character output you will need a different platform.

For instance the MIPS Malta platform may be the target for which the elf files have been compiled. In this case download the OVPsim_demo_linux_MipsMalta demo package. You will then need to configure to run a baremetal application rather than the Linux kernel.
