Hi,

I got a problem when I installed the OVPsim.20131018.0.Linux32.exe on my Ubuntu virtual machine.

Following is the error message that I encountered when I execute OVPsim.20131018.0.Linux32.exe under the installed directory.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hsin-tein@hsintein-VirtualBox:/usr/local/Imperas$ sudo ~/Downloads/OVPsim.20131018.0.Linux32.exe

Could anyone help me to solve this?
Thanks a lot.

Hi

Do you have the 32 bit emulation libraries installed on this machine ?
You are trying to run a 32 bit program - this will need 32 bit library support.

Also, can you try running the installer under strace

% strace -o strace.log ~/Downloads/OVPsim.20131018.0.Linux32.exe

take a look at strace.log to see if anything obvious is indicated.
Thx
Lee

Hi,
I have the same problem when I try to install OVPsim.20131018.0.Linux32.exe on a 64-bit Ubuntu system.
It can be fixed by installing 32-bit libraries, as Lee said.
The 32-bit libraries can be installed by the following command.

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

FYI.
