I hope in this thread to add some of the typical error messages that may be seen by users of virtual platforms and the reasons for seeing them and the solutions.

ERROR
Processor Exception (PC_WPX) No write access at XXXXXXXX

Reason
This error and the equivalent for reading is being caused because some memory has been defined in the platform but not in the location being accessed. This is typically the stack or heap locations that are often fixed in linker scripts and hidden from the user.
Note: If no memory is defined in the platform the simulator will, by default, allocate memory as required; this gives a very simple way of starting work with an application.

Solution
Check why this memory region is being accessed. If the access is correct add the required memory size at the location.
